Cherry Creek Republican Women

Cherry Creek Republican Women was founded in 1954 by a group of activist Republican Women who were volunteers in the newly established Cherry Creek School District. These dedicated activists believed in a Republican club with a dual focus which emphasized political education and involvement in addition to unlimited charitable and community and community service endeavors. It was their deep belief that one could not survive without the other.

These early club founders felt that there were many new residents in the booming suburban areas of metropolitan Denver who had a budding interest in politics but not much background knowledge of the Republican Party they had chosen to support when they volunteered and voted for "their man Ike" - President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Those women set high goals of political and community involvement and in the best tradition of the National Federation of Republican Women, Cherry Creek Republican Women "set no boundaries geographically from which members could come to us." Today our members are predominately from Arapahoe County but also from the metropolitan area as well as out of state.

In this, our 63rd year, volunteerism continues to define our organization. Please join us and become a part of this rich heritage coupled with continuing innovation.
